In 2002 Salt was chosen to spearhead the first phase of Bradford’s £400million Building Schools for the Future programme along with two other schools.
Following a long and detailed planning process the design and build team was appointed in January 2006. The consortium Integrated Bradford, is led by Amey, Costain and HSBC Infrastructure Fund Management and supported by Ferrovial Agroman and Sun Microsystems.
The architects have worked in partnership with staff, students and the wider community to create a school that is not only at the forefront of design for teaching and learning but one that reflects the needs of the community as a whole.
Building work began in earnest in January 2007 but there is a long way to go until the doors open in September 2008. Stay with us for the journey .......
